Are We A Good Fit?

"You’ll leave knowing whether coaching is the right move for you right now."

My goal isn’t to sell you coaching — it’s to help you make an informed decision about what’s right for you. The first call is designed to give you value, perspective, and a sense of whether we’re the right fit to work together.

Coaching works best when you’re ready to take ownership of where you are and genuinely want to create change. If you’re open-minded, willing to reflect, and ready to put in the work — even in small steps — you’ll get the most out of our time together.

The first conversation is about clarity, not pressure. You’ll leave knowing whether coaching is the right move for you right now.

Common Questions, Honest Answers

"Get the answers to your questions"

Every coaching journey begins with a few questions. Below you’ll find honest answers to help you understand what working together looks like, what to expect, and whether it’s the right time for you to start.

What makes my coaching different from others?

What sets my coaching apart is the depth of my personal investment and the connection I bring to clients here in Canterbury and across New Zealand. Like many coaches, I value growth, contribution, and serving beyond myself — but I’ve also spent the last six years documenting over 2,500 pages of training, insights, and lessons from some of the best minds in personal development.
When you work with me, you’re not just getting theory — you’re getting knowledge that’s been lived, tested, and organised into practical strategies you can apply in your own life. My consistency and commitment mean my clients don’t just get energy and enthusiasm — they get clarity, depth, and strategies from someone who has walked the path day in and day out.
One key difference is how I support my clients between sessions. Growth doesn’t stop when the call ends — I provide access to carefully selected articles, exercises, and resources that match your specific goals. With so much information online, it’s easy to get lost in the noise. I act as a filter, linking you only to trusted, in-depth materials that have shaped my own journey and continue to prove their value. This means you’re not just working on yourself during sessions, but also developing independently with tools you can trust.
And because I’m locally based, you’ll also find a level of presence, accessibility, and community that can be hard to come by in a space that’s increasingly online and global.

How much does a life coach cost?

Life coaching costs vary widely depending on the coach’s experience, location, and the structure of their programs. In New Zealand, you’ll find rates anywhere from $50 an hour for new coaches to $150+ an hour for more experienced professionals. Many coaches charge per session, while others (like me) focus on structured programs that deliver clarity, accountability, and real results over time.
My coaching is positioned in the premium range, reflecting six years of personal development work, over 2,500 pages of documented training, and the curated resources I provide between sessions.

Single Clarity Session75 minutes · $150 NZD
One focused session to tackle a specific challenge, with recap notes and a tailored resource.
If you choose to continue after your Clarity Session, the $150 investment can be credited toward any longer coaching package — making it a risk-free first step.
90 Day Kickstart (3 months)10 sessions · from $1,250
Build clarity, habits, and early momentum with structured support.
Performance Accelerator (6 months)18 sessions · from $2,000
Deeper accountability and sustained momentum for lasting change.
Mission Year (12 months)35 sessions · from $3,750
A full year of coaching: weekly sessions, quarterly reviews, and priority access — designed for long-term transformation and expansion into contribution.

Think of coaching not as a cost, but as an investment in clarity, confidence, and consistent growth. Whether you start with a single session or a year-long mission, the return is in the progress you make and the momentum you build.

Do you offer single sessions?

Yes. If you’re not ready to commit to a full program, I offer a Single Clarity Session (NZ$150). This is a 75-minute focused session where we’ll work on one specific challenge, map out a clear strategy, and identify your next steps. You’ll also receive a recap email with key points and one curated resource so you can continue making progress independently.
Many clients begin here before stepping into a 3-month or longer program once they see the value. And if you choose to continue, the cost of this session can be credited toward a coaching package — making it a simple, low-risk way to start.

What does a life coach do?

A life coach helps you close the gap between where you are and where you want to be. Coaching is about creating clarity, building confidence, and taking consistent action so you can move forward with purpose. Unlike therapy, which often looks to the past, life coaching focuses on your goals, growth, and future results.

A life coach will:
Clarify your goals so you know exactly what you’re working toward.
Hold you accountable so you follow through even when motivation dips.
Provide tools and strategies that you can apply immediately in your everyday life.
Offer perspective and support so you feel confident navigating challenges.

In my coaching, I combine one-on-one sessions with curated resources and insights from my documented history of personal development. That means you’re not just getting conversation — you’re getting tested strategies, clarity, and practical tools you can use to keep progressing between sessions.
Simply put, a life coach helps you unlock your potential, create momentum, and move forward with confidence.

How do I Coach my Clients?

I coach my clients through a structured process built on clarity, accountability, practical strategies, and deeper understanding. Each session focuses on uncovering where you are now, defining where you want to go, and building the steps to get you there.

My approach is:
Personalised — tailored to your goals and circumstances.
Structured — proven frameworks developed over years of documented training and practice.
Practical — clear actions you can apply immediately.
Educational — I explain the psychology and mechanics behind what we’re working on, so you understand how change really happens.
Supported — curated resources and tools to keep your growth moving between sessions.

Whether we meet in person in Canterbury or online worldwide, my goal is simple: to give you the clarity, confidence, and momentum to move forward — while equipping you with the knowledge to sustain your progress long after each session.

If I’m unsure where to start, where do you begin with people?

When someone is unsure where to start, I always return to the foundations. For me, that foundation is energy and health — because how you feel physically sets the tone for your confidence, focus, and ability to follow through. That energy is created through the basics: sleep, nutrition, movement, and the many other factors that fuel your body.

My background as a personal trainer shaped this belief: when your body has energy, everything else in life is easier to elevate. From there, we move into clarity around your goals, identifying the obstacles in your way, and building practical strategies to create momentum.

And if you’re not sure where your starting point is, that’s exactly what a complimentary discovery session is for. It’s a chance to unlock what’s most important to you as a client and find the first step that will create the biggest impact.
At the end of the day, this is your journey — you contribute the direction, and I help guide the timeframe so your progress becomes consistent and sustainable.

Who needs a life coach?

A life coach is for anyone who feels there’s a gap between where they are now and where they want to be. You don’t need to be struggling or “broken” to benefit from coaching — most of my clients are already driven people who simply want more: more clarity, more confidence, more growth.

You might need a life coach if you:
Feel stuck or unsure about your next step.
Know what you want but struggle with consistency or follow-through.
Want accountability to stay focused when motivation fades.
Are ambitious but overwhelmed by too many options.
Simply want to raise your standards and get more out of life.

People usually change for three reasons: because they’re hurting, because they see something that inspires them, or because they want to learn and grow. Coaching meets you in whichever stage you’re in and helps you turn that desire for change into consistent progress.

For many, coaching is also about expansion, not repair. One of the greatest sources of fulfilment in life is contribution — giving more to the people and causes we care about. Many of my clients seek coaching not just to grow for themselves, but so they can show up stronger for others.
Coaching gives you clarity, perspective, and practical strategies so you can move forward with purpose.
It’s not about fixing you — it’s about unlocking the best in you, so you can live, lead, and give at your highest level.

What results can I expect from coaching?

The results of coaching depend on you — your goals, your commitment, and your willingness to take action. Coaching gives you structure, accountability, and practical strategies, but ultimately you get out what you put in.

I know this because I’ve lived it myself. Over the last six years, I’ve invested thousands of hours in personal development — studying with world-class leaders like Tony Robbins, Brendon Burchard, and others. Along the way I’ve documented more than 2,500 pages of insights and lessons that have shaped my own growth. Some lessons I picked up quickly, and others I had to learn the hard way — repeating them until they finally stuck. That’s the nature of growth: sometimes it’s a breakthrough, sometimes it’s a process. Both are valuable, and both are what I now help my clients navigate.

Most clients experience three clear outcomes:
Clarity — a sharper understanding of where you are now and where you want to go.
Confidence — the self-belief and mindset shifts that help you move forward with certainty.
Momentum — consistent progress, supported by accountability and clear steps.

Some people notice shifts after just one or two sessions, while lasting change comes with consistency over time. That’s why I offer 3, 6, and 12-month programs — so you have the support to turn breakthroughs into results that stick.

And the impact doesn’t stop with you. As you grow, your relationships, work, and contribution to others grow too.
Coaching doesn’t “fix” you — it expands you, so you can live and give at your highest level.

What’s the difference between a life coach and a therapist?

Therapists and life coaches both help people grow, but in different ways.
Therapy usually focuses on the past — working through trauma, struggles, or challenges that need healing.
Coaching is future-focused — it’s about clarity, confidence, and taking action toward your goals.

That said, as a coach I won’t ignore the past completely. We don’t look at the past to get a perfect description of it — we look at it to recreate the positives we’ve had and avoid repeating the negatives in the future. My role is to take those lessons and use them to move you forward.
I often describe coaching as two sides of a coin: self-discovery — helping you understand yourself more deeply, and option generation — creating practical pathways to the future you want. Together, that means you leave sessions with both awareness and clear actions.

It’s also important to know that coaching isn’t better than therapy, and therapy isn’t better than coaching. They simply serve different purposes. If you’re dealing with trauma or mental health challenges, therapy may be the right path. If you’re ready to set goals, raise your standards, and create momentum, coaching can help you do that.
Think of it this way: therapy helps you heal what's behind you, coaching helps you create what's in front of you.

What happens in a discovery session?

A discovery session is your chance to experience coaching with no pressure and no cost. For me, it’s about establishing a relationship — creating the trust we’ll need to explore areas of life that can sometimes feel uncomfortable but are important to your growth.

In the session we’ll explore three things:
Where you are now — the challenges or opportunities you’re facing.
Where you want to go — the goals, vision, or changes you’d like to create.
How coaching can help — the strategies, structure, and support that could close the gap.

You’ll leave with greater clarity and a sense of whether coaching is the right fit for you. Many people find that even this first step unlocks what’s most important to them and shows a natural starting point for change.
There’s no obligation — just a chance to connect, get clear, and see how coaching could move you forward.
